   I can’t sleep again. {I wonder where you are…}

The sea is not comforting tonight. I’m letting your old cigarettes burn, and the smoke is soaring into the once-dream-lit sky. Summer’s already dying and there are ashes everywhere. There are so many could/should-have-beens that fill the air… Like a future suspended in my palms, similar to dreams or despair-fuelled tears.
     Would you have stayed if I had dared to ask?

I can’t sleep.
The tide is pulling me away. Unfolding all of my origami dreams. Sifting through the dusty remnants of a never-life. It triggers a deeper longing; a need for escaping. {note to self: forget gravity – forget, forget}

The stars flicker, as if they know. As if they’ve always known. Love and reality coalesce: a perfect storm.
I have a confession to make:
      I’m not the same as yesterday
(I’m a girl burning up, running on pure light)
            03:14am {I wonder where you are…}
