Big surprise. I have yet to see a plane leaving on time. And I’ve been travelling since I was 3 months old. No one has the slightest idea when the plane will be ready so they move us from waiting area to waiting area. Little kids are screaming. Apparently, their toys look like terrorist weapons and the security staff won’t let them take them on board. Yes, we have all heard the stories of evil children hijacking planes and force the pilots at water-pistol-point to redirect the plane to Disneyland. I bet they have conspired with Goofy and Donald Duck to take over the world. I can do more damage with my shoe-heels, than those children with their plastic toys, but I’m not about to share that information with the airport security.

I buy chocolates for my family while we are waiting. I always get them chocolates or sweets. Sometimes I even refrain from eating them on the way and actually give them to them… Oh well. They always told us it’s the intention that matters…

More waiting…
I browse random magazines. Climate change, Obama and the health system, dark galaxies, miracle diet pills and Smartphone apps. Welcome to Appland! There is an iphone app to unlock nearby cars and drive away, one to help you lose weight, one to find you a sex partner and one called ‘drug-dealer’ that tells you where you can buy marijuana (for medicinal purposes of course).

The flight is still delayed and people are getting irritable. “They can’t treat us like that!”, a couple is complaining loudly. “We paid for our tickets! We are travelling business class and can’t be treated like common tourists!” Well, of course! People who travel economy class haven’t paid for their tickets, are inferior and deserve to be inconvenienced. Freaking snobs. Last time we were travelling a lady was complaining to her friend about the food: “Salmon? They serve us salmon in business class? Dogs eat salmon!” Actually my dog only eats caviar and champagne. Salmon’s too cheap for his royal highness. And of course I light my cigarettes with 500 euro notes, which makes me superior to people who work hard to make a living. Don’t tell me it doesn’t make perfect sense.
